Custom Design

That’s completely normal. Many custom pieces begin with only a feeling, idea, or inspiration.
You don’t need a finished concept before ordering. I will help shape and guide the creative direction with you, using your input along with examples and styles from my existing work.

To start a custom design, you simply fill out the custom order form. Once submitted, I review your story and reach out if needed before beginning the design process.

Once approved, the piece moves into production
Each custom piece is created through an intentional, artist-led process. I work with creative direction to ensure the design develops authentically within my style while staying aligned with your vision.
This process is collaborative but structured. Clients are encouraged to share inspiration or reference existing work from current collections to help guide the initial direction.

Payments

Sales tax is automatically calculated based on your shipping address and applied at checkout in accordance with local tax laws.

We accept PayPal and all major credit and debit cards through secure Stripe checkout.

Once your custom order details are confirmed, I will send you an invoice for payment. Payment is due at that time before design work and production begins.

Production & fulfillment: Typically 2–4 weeks depending on the product
After production, your order is carefully packaged and shipped directly to you
Most orders are completed within 4–7 weeks total (approximately 1–2 months from start to delivery).
Because each item is made-to-order and fulfilled through different production partners, timelines may vary slightly.
If you need your order by a specific date, please reach out before placing your order so I can confirm whether it can be accommodated.
Returns

Because each piece is made specifically for you, we do not offer returns or exchanges.
However, if there is an issue with your order, please reach out—I will always do my best to make it right.

Refunds are only issued for incorrect or damaged items.
If this happens, please email kaylarose@velvetrosestudios.com with photos, your order number, and details.

Exchanges are not available due to the made-to-order process.
Shoes are designed to fit true to standard canvas sizing. We recommend selecting your usual size in similar footwear. We do not offer wide sizes at this time. If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up for comfort.

If an item arrives incorrect or mislabeled, please contact us within 7 days at kaylarose@velvetrosestudios.com with your order number and photos. A replacement or refund will be provided.

Yes. I offer pre-designed collections that are ready to purchase, as well as custom design work where you can create a personalized piece based on your story or inspiration.

If you’re drawn to a specific design, the pre-designed collections are a great fit. If you want something more personal or based on your own story, custom design is the best option.

Yes. If you have a story, idea, or inspiration, you can submit it through the custom order form. I’ll review it and guide you through the creative direction from there.

Products

All designs are created by hand using acrylic paints and traditional mediums on paper or canvas. Each piece is intentionally crafted with detail, expression, and meaning.
Once complete, the artwork is carefully digitized and refined so it can be translated across products while preserving its texture, depth, and originality.

For sublimation products, our manufacturer uses Mimaki Dye Sublimation Ink Sb411 and Sawgrass SubliJet HD ink, both Oeko-Tex™ certified. Some products may also use MYSUBLI-E Sublimation Transfer Ink, depending on the facility.

Machine washing is not recommended to preserve quality.
If needed, gently hand-wash with cold water only. Avoid brushes, bleach, and harsh detergents. If machine washing is used, wash cold with similar colors and air dry.

These items should be hand-washed only, without bleach or brushes.
Do not machine wash, tumble dry, dry clean, or iron on high heat. If needed, use low heat only.

This approach reduces overproduction and waste while allowing every item to be made intentionally for its owner—rather than being mass-produced or stored as excess inventory.

Shipping

Yes—shipping is free on all orders. Production and delivery times vary by product, but there are no additional shipping costs at checkout.

Shoes are manufactured in China, while other products are made in the USA.
Each piece is custom produced through trusted manufacturing partners to bring the design to life with care and consistency.

Some items are individually packaged for protection and may ship separately.
This includes hats, backpacks, and drinkware such as mugs and tumblers. Additionally, orders may be fulfilled across multiple facilities, resulting in separate shipments.
